A mole's attack （土竜大暴れ！）

What are these?




There are eight earthworks on 12 square meter yard.


A mole made a spectacular showing in the yard.

No one prevent that.

A goal of next year （来年の目標）

A goal of next year will be expected 50Kg weight.

What's a kind of goal?

It's crop of strawberry.

This is the strawberry' field for next year.

My wife will make some cakes using the strawberry next year again.

A floral tribute for our concert （花束）

We had held the concert of Ninth Symphony on the last Saturday. I attended it as a member of choir and song the Bass part. The floral tribute in the following picture was given in by my colleague to the concert venue on the day.

I get the feeling that this is the best performance we've ever done in this year.



My wife got autographs of soloist and conductor as prize for perfect attendance.

Murasakishikibu （紫式部）

This tree is named Murasakishikibu has defoliated, so I lopped today.


This was before defoliating with a lot of purple pyrenes.


These are the purple pyrenes.

Strange phenomenon （異変）

Today, I found out a lizard under a planter in our garden.
It seems that the lizard has entered into hibernation.
At the same time,


We can see the flowers of Shibazakura,

and a flower of Strawberry in our garden.


The both use to be blooming in Spring.

Year-to-date （今日この頃）

I tried remodeling our garden this month.
The following two pictures are same place photo.
The left-hand photo is a year ago, right-hand is latest view.

Orange osmanthus （金木犀）

We use to enjoy the floral fragrance every year.


Today I have done blanch lopping when my wife went out.

When she came back then. she said " I don't like to live in house with such a garden.

I think, I have done good job.
Why did she said such a thing?

The resting-place of Strawberries （苺の越冬場所）

This place is the resting -place of strawberries from Jun to October.
The construction is accomplishment. And all strawberries moved to their field for producing fruits.

The strawberries used to be moved to here from the strawberry filed after finished harvestry. After the harvestry of strawberry, we can be enjoying sweet corns at the same filed.

I started a construction for preventing grow in weeds in the pavement stone.

Azealea （躑躅）

A lot of the branches were cut. So you can see the stocks.

This replanted which came from the garden of my wife's father never had been taken care of for more twenty years

Persimmon （柿）

Three years ago, this come from the garden of my wife's father.

It had several persimmons at his garden.
In this year, it had some buds, but it did not bloom.

Shape of seven years ago

American Cherry #1 （西のアメリカンチェリー）

Today's victim was an American Cherry #1.
It passed for seven years from planting.

But it still doesn't do full bloom.

It had a couple flowers on this year.

So my wife said you should cut down it.

It was planted in 2000.

Holly olive #1 （正面の柊）

Today's morning, I did branch lopping of the Holly olive.

This is the shape of it six years ago.

Right tree is same Holly olive.

My wife loved this looks, but I cut it like above looks.

When she saw it, she got savage with me.

Japanese quince with ?? （紅梅と不明の木）

Today I lopped the Japanese quince which is standing in the center of the lower tree.
It showy red flowers in early spring. But I don't know name of the lower tree.

This is the tree which my wife lopped.

But I didn't like what she did, so I did branch lopping again.

If she knows that, she must be saying " I never do anythings".
