KUMO & KUMO (雲と蜘蛛)

You can see a Spider and Cloud in this photo.
Spider is called KUMO and Cloud is KUMO in Japanese.
Japanese can put it with three kind of letters.
Regarding spider, "くも" as Hiragana, "クモ" as Katakana and "蜘蛛" as Chinese character.

Regarding cloud, Hiragan and Katakana are the same as Spider, but "雲" as Chinese.

SHIROME SUGI (白芽杉)

This tree are commonly known as SHIROME SUGI.
We don't know right name of it. So we can not find out English name.
This tree has white leaves during the season of new green leaves.
So It will be called in SHIROME SUGI.
SHIRO(白) means white, ME(芽) means new leaves and SUGI(杉) means Jamanese cedar.

Japanese Peppar (山椒)

Japanese Pepper is a one of spice which is very popular for grilled eel.
We can make a pepper boiled in soy sauce using tender green of it.
My wife's father sometimes cooks it using them which are in his garden.

Mowing a Lawn (朝の芝生刈)

Today I have also done mowing the Lawn.
But that was for first time in this year.

Cherry-1 (サクランボ)

There are five Cherries in our garden.
Cherry-1 locate west side in the garden.
A bug lives in the Cherry. It's reduce to tears as resin.
You can see dead branch in the following picture.
It's named KOSUKASHIBA(Synathedon hector)

We have four kind of Cherries.
One in American Cherry.
But we don't know others.

TAISANBOKU (Evergreen magnolia) (泰山木)

Evergreen magnolia is pronounced TAISANBOKU in Japanese.
It's growing very fast, and will be high tree.
So I sometimes did branch lopping for a couple years.
But the flower of it must bloom on top of the high tree.
I have never seen any flower on the tree.

Shidare Sugi & Nozenkatsura (枝垂れ杉と凌霄花)

Today I have done the branch lopping of two kind of trees.
We say the both, Shidare Sugi and Nozenkatsura in Japanese.
Nozenkatura is growing and standing with Shidare Sugi.
I don't know how call them in English.
But we can call Shidaresugi to Weeping Cedar in English.
Nozenkatsura has many orange flowers.

SAKAKI (Cleyera japonica) (榊)

This tree's name is SAKAKI in Japanese
Chinese writing is like this [ 榊 ]
[榊] makes up [Tree] & [Gad]
So this tree has been worship as a tree for God.

My wife got angry when she sow the cut tree.

Last harvestry of grape and boiled soybean

But we could get a lot of figs in this morning.


So my wife made a fresh fig tart, but I can not eat it.
She will send it to our son to work in Tokyo.

May be she plans to make another one this evening for me.
