Photography event in our garden

This is the pokeweed in the pot.

We could see it in the same pot lastyear.

It fall into disfavor as a dreaded weed in US.

But we held the event with it as the object of shooting ten days ago.

It's nice object.

    I do have this growing in my area and, yes, we do think it is a weed. What is it?
