There are tow kind of blueberry in our garden.

This is western blueberry.

Harvest #004-1 (Strawberry 0021 : 00021)

This is the first harvest of strawberry this year.

I plucked the strawberry off the vine for our grandson this morning.

Today's harvest is only this one.

It weight 21g. The goal is 50Kg in 2010.

He ate it at once. It must be fully-ripened and must have been sweet fruit.

#024 a mustard family (かき菜 Kakina)

A mustard family and Malus halliana

We can enjoy to harvest and eat them several times.

Recently, we can enjoy the flowers.

What pretty flower!

#023 Malus halliana (花海棠 Hanakaido ハナカイドウ)

#022 Poppy (ケシ Keshi)

We can see many poppy in our garden here and here.

These poppies are under the peach tree.

It's going against the law to grow a certain type of poppy in Japan.
This is not illegal.

But we don't grow them.

They are exactly weed in our garden.

#021 lilac (ライラック)

The flowers are not so good because of cold days like winter in this Spring.

Unfortunately, the flowers of last year were more beautiful than this year.

It seems that the climate hinder vegetable growth too.

#020 Moss Phlox (芝桜 Shiba zakura シバザクラ)

This plant's name is Moss Phlox in English.

Japanese name is Shiba Zakura, Shiba means lawn, Zakura means cherry.

I like the plant.

It's exactly the Lawn Cherry!

Here is the plant two years ago.

A frog was sitting on the flowers three years ago.

#019 Chinese violet cress (花大根 Hanadaikon)

We can see the plant at all over the place in our city.

We treat it the same as weed.

It doesn't means we seed it in our garden.

Inhabitant #2 (Toad, ヒキガエル、 Hikigaeru)

He is growing???

Are you this toad which I met you tow years ago?

He has gimlet eye.

It seemed that he gave me a gimlet eye on, because I disturbed his winter sleep.

Don't sleep! It's just middle of Spring.

#018 Carolina Jasmine

Last week end, I worked for maintenance our garden by this Carolina Jasmine.

I was covered delicate flavor at that time.

It's exactly Jasmine flavor.

We could meet these tulips at the same three points in our garden again.

A flower's life is short!

The flower petal carpet was taken this morning.


There is the carpet under the cherry.

What short the flower's life is!

But we are able to enjoy the flower two times in the sky and on the earth.

Harvest #002-8 (a mustard family )

Today's harvest

Before harvesting filed, now a mustard has flowers.
After harvested field, it's eighth harvest.

Well-stocked Strawberry Filed

The strawberry field was developed by me on last September.

I can not wait for harvest of the strawberries.

Crop of the strawberry last year fell short of the goal. (15Kg)

So I expect bigger crop than 2004 year's this year.

This is Sanchu Asian Lettuce which we initial planted at our garden this year.
