Harvest of Kakina （かき菜の収穫 007 & 料理）

I said to her yesterday,
"I will achieve to make dishes using Kakina as food material myself for you".
Therefore please plan some menus to use the vegetable.


I was picking them the day before yesterday, and I could be picking today and eating.

In the end, She made the following dishes. So I was enjoying these taste.

Kakina Rolled egg "かき菜入り玉子焼き"


Blending Sesame "Tofu and Kakina" "Kakina no Shiraae"
"かき菜の白和え"

First harvest in this year （かき菜 001）

These edible leaves are named Kakina "かきな" in Japanese.
It seems that Kakina doesn't have English name.
It's very popular as food cooking ingredient in Spring.
I picked them early this morning.

This is my today's breakfast.

I think this picture must be typical Japanese breakfast,.Kakina's Miso soup and Omelet.
The Omelet was used an accompanying dish for my today's lunch box.
The farm- fresh ingredients are making very delicious dishes always.
Of cause her cooking skill is in the foremost rank.

It's raining today.

Second harvest of Kakina （かき菜の収穫 002）

The recent warm climate help every plants to grow up.
This is today's harvester of the Kaikna, It's second time.
We ate it cocked Miso soup again at this breakfast.

We can compare with the both, before and after on the day before yesterday. 14th.




Yesterday, she bought the followings six kind of pansies and made me plating them.

Of cause I did that immediately. I can not say "No" for her order.

These pansies will make us to be happy after the daffodils in this bed.

She must use them as materials for her blog.

Today's dinner was Buta Shabu using Kakina and the welsh onions.

I think Miso Soup is the best material for Kakina.

A lot of mustard family (Kakina かき菜)

There are a lot of Kakina in our garden.

The dig pit was filled in, and Kakina planted.

She "Aye Yai Yai" cooked it using the Kakina this morning.
