A major event in every summer (夏の一大行事)

We were enjoying to eat sweet fish at Yana restaurant.
It's a big event for my wife's parents.
But there is not any fishing weir by the lodge as restaurant now.

If the fishing weir still were kept in a river, we could see it though this side.

Her father invite his friends to the event every time.
They are a brother in arms and a book-mate.
They, all are more 85 years old.
And her mother always say at the table I could be here next year.


Yes, we will surely be here next year too.
