Beautiful!

The cicadas have started singing here, finally. Our hot weather was late this year.

Is there a Japanese children's song about cicadas? I seem to remember singing such a song in school, long ago. . .

The song's name must be "Mushi no Koe". [the sound of insects]

Name of insects are Green tree cricket, Japanese bell cricket, Cricket, Mecopoda nipponensis and Hexacentrus juponicus.

You can listen to the song via the following URLs.

----------------------------

There is a Haiku to have sounds of cicadas as Kigo(seson words) by Matsuo Basho.
---------------------
-Shizukesaya
(moment of quietness)
- Iwani shimiiru
(penetrating a rock)
- Semi no koe
(sound of cicadas)
-----------------------

*How do you like the following emendation?

- Moment of quietness
- Sound of cicadas penetrating
- In a rock
