Green Japanese Basil (青紫蘇 アオジソ Aojiso)

Japanese basil is very common foodstuff as an spice in Japan.

It was used as material to make the Japanese basil juice this year.

Anyway, it blossomed pretty little flowers.

What does basil juice taste like? I have never seen basil juice in the United States. I wonder if American basil can be used to make basil juice.

If your US basil is familiar as a condiment, relish or spice on your dining table. You will become fond of the juice.
If you are intereted in making it. I will ask AyeYai to prepare the recipe of the juice for the next year.
